Their generous space creates a biome of its own. I drew the tree from memory and imagination and began carving overlooking the field behind the house. The carving process takes many hours over the course of weeks, and I got to see all these inhabitants of the land. Every creature I saw I added into the piece on the spot. I had not planned to populate it so densely!
