Farmer's Market Bouquet empty Collage of found materials onLast summer I bought this bouquet at a Farmer's Market. The luscious hot pink gladiolas were daring me to paint them. I put the bouquet in a cut glass vase I recently inherited from my mother. I did a pencil sketch from life first, and then decided to photograph the flowers and work from that image for the painting. I enlarged the details in my photo to capture the colors that show space and light.
