Maple Leaf designed a barrel where the tip is wider compared to the rest of the barrel. At the end of the barrel, the air will pass the BB and exit first, and when the BB leaves the barrel, the airflow will push the BB in what is called a jet stream. This creates less resistance on the BB and will NOT reduce velocity, but instead increase accuracy.
